Description
Introducing The Cottage: A stunning contemporary residence located on the outskirts of Rugby. This gem was meticulously renovated by the current owners with bespoke finishings throughout, infused with personalised touches inspired by the owners love for architecture and nature.
Inside, the home boasts features that blend comfort and convenience seamlessly. Upon entering the spacious and welcoming hallway, the interior sets the tone beautifully for the ground floor accommodation. To the left the folding glass doors flow into the office / snug offering versatile use and featuring high ceilings and views of the countryside. The lounge is located to the rear of the home and enjoys bespoke glass curved wall seamlessly connecting the rooms and allowing the natural light to fill through and a focal open fire. The window seat is also a stunning feature for tranquil moments to enjoy the countryside setting. The oak framed conservatory is accessed via the lounge and further enhances the experience of the green outlook whilst offering further living accommodation.
A shaker style kitchen, complete with a Bertazzoni range and freestanding Smeg fridge freezer and dishwasher, allows for culinary masterpieces to be created with ease. The kitchen extends to a separate area for dining whilst enjoying the outside with corner bi fold doors opening on to the patio ideal for al fresco dining in the summer. A further utility room and shower room is accessed off the hallway.
The first floor comprises of three well proportioned bedrooms and a Burlington bathroom suite complete with a freestanding bathtub.
Externally the home is accessed via oak electric gates and brick pillars leading you to the generous driveway and access to the detached automated double garage and carport. The garden offers the most wonderful views of the countryside and is mostly laid to lawn. The sellers purchased some adjoining land to further extend the plot size and create a haven to grow their own fruit and vegetable. The addition of a wooden cabin has allowed the owners to utilise a garden room for entertaining.
A property that seamlessly blends style, escapism to the country and a true sense of home.
Seller's Story
We initially fell in love with the back garden view of the fields. The house was in a perfect location for us, close to the grammar schools. Within close proximity of major motorways and a-roads. Rugby town centre is up the road, yet because of our landscape, we feel so far. Time has passed so quickly whilst living in this property, as there was a lot of work to be done on the property. Following the full renovation, we have been able to relax more and enjoy the nature around us.
The oak conservatory is our favourite room as it’s the best place to unwind after a long week. The natural lighting and the view create an air of serenity making it easy to escape the outside world. We also love the cabin, which was added in 2022, as well as the practicality of having a car port.
This house has created many memories for us, as our children have grown up here. We have had many milestone birthdays celebrated with family. One of our most treasured memories would be, gathering around the fire and watching the sun set.
One of the things we’ve enjoyed the most is being able to go into the garden in the evening, hearing the birds tweeting, seeing the lamb playing in the fields and being able to pick fresh fruit, which tastes so much better when you know it has come from your own garden.
We will miss the surrounding landscape. We believe it’ll be near impossible to get a house like this in such a convenient location with the views we have, the move has now become necessary due to work requirements.
