Beautifully presented, the property fuses period elegance with contemporary living with the accommodation set within a stylish modern wing added to the original Victorian villa. Astor House is enviably tucked back from the hustle and bustle yet just a short saunter from the vibrant waterside cafe bars, restaurants, Marina, Princess Theatre and an array of leisure activities. This stunning coastal apartment is currently used as a second home and lucrative holiday let by the current owners and it presents a wonderful opportunity to generate a healthy income, as well as cover general overheads when not in personal use.

Owner Insight

"We have owned 17 Astor House for 7 years and have thoroughly enjoyed staying at the apartment during our period of ownership. Prior to purchasing the apartment we used to visit Torquay frequently and always chose to stay on Warren Road because of the fantastic views it offers across the bay. We actually used to stay in Astor House regularly and when the opportunity arose to purchase this particular apartment we pulled out all the stops to ensure that we were able to buy it. We were immediately attracted to the apartment due to the superb far reaching stunning views it offers, whether it is a warm summers day watching people on the beach, the water sports and boats in the bay, the boats in and out the busy harbour or even watching the ships in the distance making their way through the English Channel, the view is constantly changing before your eyes. We also enjoy sitting there in the evenings looking out at all the lights around the bay across from Torquay harbour to Paignton and Brixham, or in the winter months simply turning off the lights and sitting there watching a winter storm crashing in, with the waves coming over the sea wall down below and the rain hitting the windows horizontally, is simply mesmerising. Another great attraction are the fantastic bars and restaurants nearby, which we can walk down to in a matter of minutes.

It is now with a heavy heart that we are selling the apartment, but we have enjoyed our time here in Torquay so much we have decided to relocate the family and move here on a permanent basis.

Astor House is one of very few developments in Torquay that permits holiday letting. This enables the apartment to provide a very healthy rental income all year round. With this in mind we are also happy to include all of the contents and sell the apartment on a 'going concern' basis for those seeking a rental investment, so as not interrupt any ongoing holiday rentals."
